The Jesse White Tumblers on America’s Got Talent
The Jesse White Tumblers have passed the audition round on America's Got Talent and will compete in a live broadcast this August.
It is a milestone moment: 67 years after Jesse White founded the team, the Tumblers will perform on national television.

About the Jesse White Foundation
Jesse White, now 92, founded the Jesse White Tumbling Team in 1959 to give young people in Chicago's inner-city communities a positive alternative to gangs, drugs, and violence. Before entering public office, he spent 33 years with Chicago Public Schools as a teacher, administrator, and gymnastics coach, and later established the Jesse White Foundation to expand educational opportunity across the community he served.
Today, the Tumbling Team includes 11 units performing hundreds of exhibitions each year. More than 18,000 young people have participated in the program since its founding, with generations of alumni going on to lead successful, productive lives.
The Foundation's Core Programs
The Jesse White Tumblers: The Foundation's flagship youth development program provides structured athletics and gymnastics training to more than 120 youth annually.
Academic Support: Structured tutoring and mentorship help students strengthen academic and critical thinking skills, so success in the classroom matches success in competition.
Family & Community Support: Seasonal initiatives, including coat drives and holiday food distributions, give back to the community throughout the year.
College Scholarships & Readiness: More than $1.27 million has been awarded in college scholarships. The Foundation also hosts an annual trunk party for incoming college students, providing school supplies, linens, toiletries, and tech items.
